So this is your typical 'trendy' Moxy. It's just on the edge of Frankfurt on a main Road (which also has a Tram Line). It costs about €30 in an Uber from the Airport. It's weekday Room rate is not bad, Corp Rate was about €120/night, including Breakfast. So the hotel has a great funky decor, lots of 'odd' items to look at, quite a cool eclectic mix of 'nick-nacks' 😎 The main Reception also acts as a large Bar area with plenty of seats, they also serve decent German Beer 👍. The Bar area also doubles up as a Breakfast area in the morning. There is also an area where you can work👍, and an 'on site' Barbers?? 😵💫 The Bedrooms are okay, not massive but not too small, they have Air-cons, but more importantly, they have windows that open 🙂👍 The beds are okay, I got an average sleep whilst staying there. The rooms do lack from ANY form of Clothes storage, which I found weird👎. I am not looking for lots of Wardrobes or Chest-of-Drawers, but providing just THREE Hangers on a Coat Hook is just Rubbish! 💩 Even other 'discount' Hotel chains (that don't provide actual Wardrobes) at least have a 'Rail' / 'Shelf' to hang up/place clothes 🫤 One other 'big miss' is the Shower, it is well designed but it has basic 'Mixer' handle, it's not Thermostatically controlled, so water constantly changes from hot to cold (based on other Guests water usage 🤦♂️) also if you knock the handle whilst showering (really easily done) you can then scold 🔥 or freeze yourself ❄️👎👎. Overall it's quite a good hotel, if they fix a few other small design problems, I'd happily give them 5 stars 👍

Modern building with fun decor. Rooms are compact. There is minimal storage for clothes. Check in is manual and time consuming despite what is shown in the Bonvoy app. If you try to check in via the app, you are wasting your time as you need to check in in person at the desk. The people working at the desk also serve at the bar so there is sometimes a wait to check in whilst they serve beer. There are no electronic keys … despite what is says in the app. Come on Marriott, sort out the check in process.

The first impression of the hotel was good. friendly staff, good music. in general, the hotel is ok, but the bed was not comfortable. it was lumpy and too soft. was unpleasantly surprised because I expected certain standard for Marriot group hotels. And, the hotel room is very basic. very limited space to put your stuff on. 3 hooks to hang clothes. So, in winter, it's a problem. not enough space to hang your clothes.. It's clean and has essential things you need, but will I stay here again? no, I will not. and, if you are staying in Frankfurt to go to Messe, this is not very good location. you need to take a tram, go to train station, then, change to train to go to Messe. next time, I will find a place to stay near train station so that I don't need to change (from tram to train) especially in cold winter months.

The staff at this property are fantastic! Just remember that Moxy is a scaled back hotel with still newer amenities. Great lobby and bar. Excellent transport options. Both the Tram and the metro are extremely close, only a few min walking distance. You won’t need to waste money on taxis. The staff was great with restaurant recommendations as we stayed during the Christmas holidays when a lot of stuff is closed. The room was a bit warm, but I never spoke to the staff about this. My parents were in another room and were able to have the staff work on the thermostat. Personally, I don’t understand why so many nearby buildings use heat even when it’s a very mild winter. I will definitely stay at this hotel again, even for a short connection in Frankfurt.

Funky Decor but Average Rooms

A chain hotel's take on an independent boutique, resulting in an unconventional lobby (barber in corner), and funky decor in the rooms - I liked it. I was in room #402 at the end of the corridor, with a view to the back of the hotel. Very quiet with no noise from inside or outside the hotel. Reception/bar/breakfast staff were helpful and polite. Room was small with limited facilities; no clothes storage space (hook on wall with hangar), no desk space (low shelf) and unsupportive, springy mattress which is strange as I assume the hotel is relatively new. Bathroom was tiny but smart, with walk-in shower (adequate but not great water pressure). Air-con was unable to go much beneath ~22 degrees although temperature was set to 19, so room was pretty warm throughout the night. Breakfast was okay, eaten in the lobby, with limited hot selection - not really worth the €15 I think the receptionist said it costs if not included with room - there must be better alternatives locally if you have the time in the mornings. There is nothing particularly wrong with this hotel, but it feels like it is a concept that could be so much better. Overall, a funky 3* hotel, that I would probably stay at again (in the hope of getting a comfier mattress!)
